Again, rest assured, I’m part of ANAQ (Association des Naturopathes Agréés du Québec)! Although, like osteopaths and massage therapists, we don’t yet have a professional order. I, along with all my naturopathic colleagues, choose ANAQ for its rigor, requirements and code of ethics. Only those naturopaths who meet the association’s requirements (continuing education – 60H, entrance exam, etc.) are held accountable, just like an order. It’s important, especially in Quebec, where “just about anyone can call themselves a naturopath”, to choose an ANAQ member. You ensure credibility and rigor.
